The Launch of the Association of Directors of Children's Services

The Association of Directors of Children's Services (ADCS) was officially launched on 5th February 2007 at the BMA, London.
Amongst the guests and supporters in attendance, we were pleased and grateful that Rt Hon Beverley Hughes, Minister for Children, Young People and Families and Mr David Bell, the Permanent Secretary at the DfES spoke so strongly in support of the Association.
We were also delighted that Rt Hon Alan Johnson MP, Secretary of State for Education and Skills contributed the foreword to our launch publication 'The Birth of the New'.
The launch was a great success and the new Association has been given the best possible start.
