ADCS briefing paper - SEND: the evidence base for reform
The government has committed to publishing a new Schools White Paper in the autumn, which is expected to set out a significant programme of SEND reform.
Given the evidence base on the increasing demand and financial pressures for local authorities (LAs) in relation to SEND, and poor outcomes for children and young people, and the need to continue to influence government, partner and parental views about the scale of changed needed, ADCS has pulled together the evidence base which clearly outlines the need for systemic change. This resource is intended to support local conversations and planning.
